You may have seen this house on 7321 35th Ave, it sits right by the Starbucks. Built in 1903 it is Wedgwood's oldest building.
Don't think it's worth saving? Well the folks in Fremont worked with the Historic Seattle Preservation Socity to save their 1902 residence below.

Children's Hospital's proposed 240' buildings - towers will be visible from View Ridge and Wedgwood
Down the road in Laurelhurst, Children's Hospital is proposing to change it's current zoning so it can build 240 foot towers (6x taller than our condos) on their property. Yesterday the neighbors held a very creative rally where they brought in a helicopter to fly at 240 feet just to show how high the buildings will be. (And they got tv stations to show up!)
Although this is a different project, their issues are similiar to ours. They want the development group to build a neighborhood appropriate building and bring in the infrastructural investment in transit and traffic safety to mitgate the development.
You can check out their blog here.
Here's the view out towards View Ridge and Wedgwood from the proposed top of one of Children's Hospital's new towers.
